How to use web wings? I keep falling

I press Y on the xbox controller, the spider-man flies for like 2 seconds with the wings and then immediately starts to fall down, even in the wind tunnels. What's the trick? I'm stuck on the turbine mission that is impossible to finish ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I figured it out! Move the left stick down

You can go into settings and change that. It'll invert the control.
