Is the PC port stable now or worth waiting longer for?
I'm a huge fan of the first game, but kinda hated the Miles Morales one so I'm hoping this sequel will finally make up for it.

The reviews are jarring though. I saw there's been multiple hotfixes and patches released thus far but some recent reviews still claim the port is bad?

Wait a bit longer if you can. The patches have helped but performance still isn't great on a 3070ti.
what about performance on a 4090?
4090 user here, the game was initially quite unstable (crashing every hour) but since the latest patch I have not had a single crash, and I have been playing for hours.
Performance may still not be amazing on most hardware without Frame-gen or similar though. May still be a good idea to wait as there are a few bugs remaining (NG+ requiring controller to beat being one of them), but it is up to you in the end.

Again, I have RTX 4090 so take what I say with a grain of salt depending on your hardware.

What is the fps without framegen?

Currently I'm running a 4080 Super and 7800x3D at 1440p. What were your graphics settings playing this on a 4090? I'm so on the fence about buying this but heard the last two hotfixes make the game playable. Was intending on maxing out the settings with RT and everything considering I'm at 1440p but have no idea what my setup's ability to do that is at this point is relative to the current state of the game.

Hi! I'm on a 4080 super and 7950x3D at 1440p. I can run the game DLAA no ray tracing at about 100-160fps depending on if i'm swinging through the city/fighting or just standing still. With ray tracing ultimate (no ray reconstruction) and dlss quality, it's between 70-100 there.

Mine is 4090. The game no longer crashes thanks to the latest patch, but the game causes weird behavior on my PC (eg OBS freezes, browser gets slow, other system stutter too)

Does anyone know the reasons?

Game doesn't crash anymore.
But im very dissapointed in the framerate.
1440p 240hz ( capped at 120fps for smooth frametimes ), the game will have heavy framedrops when webswinging throughout the city, go to broadway area and im talking framedrops from 120 fps to 89/93

Most weirdest is that AMD Framegen will give higher framerates than Nvidia's framerate.
The microstutter with Nvidia's framerate are very noticable.
So no its not "buttersmooth", maybe for those with a different monitor ( probably a TV ) or for those who dont know what microstutters are and dont know what the impact on smoothness of uneven frametimes mean.. but ido, and there fore i have a have a Gsync QD-Oled monitor from 2024 to minimize any microstutter.

RTX 4090 R7 7800X3D 32 DDR5 installed on a 4Tb NvMe with 2Tb free space. ResBar is ON updated to latest driver , 0 bloatware and 0 background stuff. PC is pure for gaming. I play with a wireless Xbox S series controller.

Every other game i play are graphical demanding but dont have these framedrops nor microstutter.
Spiderman 1 + Miles Morales on the other hand play extreem smooth and with that i mean even frametimes a constant framerate with very 0,01% lows.
Other games what play better without noticeable stutter or heavy framedrops ;

ALAN WAKE II
AFOP
SW Outlaws
FarCry 6
Wukong
FF 7 Rebirth
Myst Riven

Using 4080 Super and before patch was crashing a decent amount...since the most recent patch I have had zero crashes. Seems much more stable now.

4080 FE i7-14700KF. 4 Hours in and so far i've had zero issues. Everything maxed out w/ full path tracing & frame gen it's been a consistent 110-120 fps at 1440p
