Still crashing and freezing the pc !

The game is still a mess

At first I could not play more than few minutes. Disabling Ray reconstruction fixed it for a while but then i started to got crash with the device Hung issue. Just the game was crashing

Since two days, the game just freezes. Music continues but Pc is completely frozen and I have to manually reboot..


I have a 4090 and a 13700kf, all drivers are up to date.

Give them a few months to get it sorted. Usually after 3 to 4 major patches, the game becomes optimized.

A game crashing my whole pc is not excusable

Does it unfreeze after a minute or two? Mine does that. The game freezes, but the music keeps playing. It unfreezes after 30 seconds to a minute. Still broken, but it doesn't lock up my entire PC.

Must be very frustrating to own a € 5000 pc system which is not able to make modern games playable.

Launch NVIDIA, select Spider-Man 2 , then click optimize. You should be done right there. I have a 4080 and that works. After you get in game, you could also disable DLSS frame generation, you should still be getting 60 fps still... Or more.

This fixed the freezing issue that I was having completely, where the game would freeze and I would still hear audio for like 15 to 30 seconds. Don't know why launching from Steam breaks this game, but launching from the NVIDIA app completely fixes this issue.
