Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Statistiche:
How is the game running for y'all?
Wanting outside views for this. It's running fine for me, rare crashes. I left a negative review because of day 1's near unplayability, but it's playable for me now, gone through the entire game since the first patch practically issueless.

What about now? People on low-mid range hardware especially, how's the game running? Amazing, good, mediocre, bad, barely running or just not at all.

R9 5900X, 64GB DDR4 1066, RTX 4080, Samsung EVO 840 drive, Windows 11.

Game freezes every minute or two, but the audio continues. Stays frozen for like 15 to 30 seconds, then goes back to normal. If it freezes during a cutscene, the video speeds up until it catches up with the audio. No crashes though, just freezing every few minutes. Tried the dstorage renaming fix, but that didn't work. Running high settings with Ray Tracing off and no frame gen. In 4k.

Mixed through 53 - 120 fps depending on the amount of effects and enemies, without FSR 3.1 Frame Gen but XeSS high quality on high graphics settings (no Raytracing) in 1080p : Ryzen 5700x, RX 6750XT, 32 GB RAM, Windows 11, NVMe 2. -SSD.

There's something seriously wrong with frame gen. I stay in the 80s and 90s everything maxed and balanced dlss. Which doesn't seem weird on paper, BUT gpu is often at 50% (mostly at 70%), and when switching to fsr3 framegen, I get a full fat 120. Fsr3 is garbage though and looks terrible and artifactey. Also somehow being stuck in the 80s feels smoother than fsr3 120 by an order of magnitude.

Anyway, that's my experience so far, and I've never seen a game behave this strangely.

P.s. it's definitely dlss framegen that's the culprit, turning all frame gen off also immediately utilizes gpu at 100%, weird.

I can't even run frame gen dlss at all, launching the game with the setting enabled crashes my entire computer. I can use it in other games like cyberpunk, just not SM2

Yeah, first time I launched the game, on release day, I almost immediately got bsod. This last patch seems to have fixed a lot.
Too bad that's not everyone's experience though.
5900X
7900XTX Nitro+
32Gb Ram (DDR4 3600Mhz)
Nvme SSD 7000Mb read
Driver 25.1.1

Native 4k, mostly max settings, all RT options turned off

Game runs between 80-110 mostly depending on the area, have seen it dip as low as the 50's for a second while swinging around, second patch seems to have improved performance my side a little

Only had one crash so far but do have that annoying little black box graphical glitch during cutscenes, hair looks really weird and grainy too. Map screen runs at around 45fps and stutters, was the same on the other two games released on Steam too, no idea why

Game crashes on both my PC and steam deck.
Decent but the game is boring
I5-12400F
rtx 4070
16gb ram
the game lags so much and freezes for me
Ryzen 7 5800XT
RTX 4070
64GB of RAM

Runs smoothly for me for the most part. I will get random freezes where the background music will continue to play but everything else just freezes up. It's annoying to deal with and I hope Insomniac and Nixxes release a new patch resolving the matter.

What are your specs and what resolution?
120fps is a huge ask for most machines as is 4K.

I9-14900K, 4080 Super, 64GB RAM, game is on NVMe 4th gen SSD and only running at 1440p. Hardware specs is absolutely not the problem here.

So after doing some research online (YouTube videos) after being stuck on the 1st photo bug I was able to get it to run finally. So far so good I haven’t played it with the updated patch as of yet so I’ll comeback this weekend to update y’all
I’m running it on a day one LCD steamdeck FYI.

It's probably your suicidal cpu. 😅

hold on you mean to tell me your rig cant even handle the game with DLSS and Framegen and you had a nerve to downplay my 10900k and 5090. and the fact you purchased a 360hz monitor and can only get 80fps at max. you just proven to me i have a better PC than you do thanks. I have none of those issues you mentioned in fact i havent crashed in all the hours ive played. Im playing at 4K Max Settings with Very High Ray Tracing and Ray Reconstuction on with MFG and getting over 150fps as we speak. Upgrade your PC lmao
