Possible fix for crashing (gpu overheating)
I have a 12700k, 4090 with 32gb ddr4 3200 and the game is on a gen 4 nvme, It seems to be crashing every few cutscenes, sometimes during gameplay with the gpu overheating error. I also have an asus tuf f15 gaming laptop with a 4070, When I play the game there, I turn off ray tracing completely for something gameplay and I had no crashing at all. So my guess would be something to do with that? There is no chance my 4070m chip is running cooler than my 4090.

I am hearing it is an issue with DLSS Frame Generation, try to switch it from DLSS Frame Gen to AMD FSR, i did and it quit crashing on me, and i played for like 2 hrs with no probs before i went to bed last night.

i always find it funny that people who own a high end pc's think they are immortal against poorly optimized games, but if u turn down or off DLSS an Frame Generation its a good chance that game will work better, but u have to skip cutscenes, cutscenes will make your PC crash 90% off the time
Did I give you that impression when I made this topic or did it sound like I was genuinely trying to solve a problem? Ever heard the term fighting with ghosts?
I have had zero issues 4 hours into the game.

I would make sure you've disabled certain things that can cause crashes like Windows Game Mode or Geforce Overlay. Check to make sure you are not pending a CPU driver update in addition to GPU. Also, I've found that setting Shader Cache Limit in Nvidia app to "Unlimited" helps me to avoid issues.

PC:
RTX 4090 (OC'd via the Nvidia App)
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D

Graphics Settings:
4K Very High Preset
DLAA (no Frame Gen)
