Will the game run on a 7200 RPM hard drive?
I do not mind if I have to play at very low settings, but If anyone has been able to run the game on this please let me know. I know I need to upgrade storage, but please for now let me know if anyone knows if it is possible.

Do not do this. You are setting yourself up for frustration otherwise. Newer games simply don't run well on conventional HDD drives. Do not do this.

the settings don't really have much to do with it, hdds are simply too slow to stream the game assets, you will have very long load times, severe stutters, texture pop-ins, and probably audio desync too

get an ssd already
Honestly that's hilarious that you know the RPM of your drive but don't have an SSD.

But lemme actually try to help. The game probably 'will' run but you'll experience a lot of hang ups while traversing. The game will freeze and have a lil loading icon at the bottom right while it catches up and loads the city and tbh it even does it once in a blue moon on an SSD. You will probably get that a ton, but this game seems to have a memory leak issue where certain assets don't load in cutscene's and specifically all Symbiote Animation runs pretty terribly.
If you could run Spiderman 1, you'll likely be able to run this game with a few more hiccups than you may like.
But I hope you enjoy the game and are able to play smoothly! It's awesome.
It's a pity that SSD's are soo expensive these day :-)
I mean it'll probably work but loading between characters will be a slow, laggy mess.

An nvme or sata SSD are cheap af right now. Why wouldn’t you get one for modern gaming?
You need at least a SATA SSD to play most current AAA games nowadays. It's highly recommended to use a NVME SSD if you can.

its funny how people will buy the newest games knowing they have a hard drive when an ssd, and smaller sized m.2's cost less than most full priced games these days. On amazon right now 1tb ssd's range from 30-80. 2tb ones go from 75-100+.
Not a chance in any hell. Time to upgrade that fossil, because the 00's called, they want their tech back.

I think the only real way to know is to try it yourself, if the hard drive in good health there's a chance it could be alright with textures set to the lowest they can be, otherwise you're going to suffer a whole lot of stutters.

Steam has a very kind refund policy and you are allowed to refund with such a reason, just don't go over the 2 hour limit.

SATA SSD's are barely faster than fast hard drives. Maybe 3x faster at most. While NVMe SSD's are 50x faster.

why are you still on mechanical drives for OS/Games/Apps? They are now just used as pure storage.

NVME/SSD are incredibly cheap now.
