Stuck in a tutorial.

I beat the tutorial and got three skill points. I figured it was the exact same as the first two games, which it was, so I pulled up the tree and spent them. However, the skill point tutorial then launched anyway, and won't progress because I don't have any skill points to buy the stupid skill they want you to start off with. The game is hard stuck here. No earlier save, can't reset the tree, can't move or exit the tutorial until I buy the skill, can't buy the skill because no points.

I see no way around this other than restarting. Any other thoughts?
