How to get rid of (almost) all crashes, grainy hair and bad shadows
After scouring the forums and Reddit and testing several things in the intro sequence several time, I think I've found the settings you need to tweak to get rid of almost all of the crashes and graphical errors that currently exist in the game and thought I'd compile them in one handy post. Thanks to all the people who discovered these things in the first place!

1. Turn off Ray Reconstruction. This is by far the biggest culprit for most of the weird artifacts you're seeing on screen.
2. Turn down Raytraced Object Distance to 9 or below. This solved most of the crashes I and several other people had in the intro fight and after (Pete running out of the classroom, Miles helping people on the bus, the phonecall after Miles superjumping, etc.)
3. Turn off Ray Traced Shadows and Ambient Occlusion. In short, these are not working correctly right now and turn several shadows into ugly blobs (for example when you web people to the ground or walls).

The rest of the settings you can turn as high as you can, they seem to work fine and don't cause crashes or artifacts, including Ray Traced Reflections, Interior or Geometry.

Personally I prefer XeGTAO to HBAO+ because it comes closer to what Ray Traced AO should look like and HBAO+ doesn't seem to hit a few areas that XeGTAO does.

And that's it. I hope it helps people who're looking for solutions and don't wanna fleece through a bunch of posts like I did. Your mileage may vary of course, because as of right now this is not a good PC port.

Edit: I found that sometimes shadows seem to glitch out a little or look too diffused. That only seems to happen on Very High and Ultra. Reducing Shadows to High gets rid of that at very little visual impact.

Further Edit: Also if you are using the 572.16 drivers for Nvidia cards, try downgrading to the 566.36 drivers again. The new drivers seem to be causing issues with frametimes and VRAM which could be the cause of some further crashes unrelated to those settings above.

I get it, at one point of time I couldn't afford a pc either. You just got to work hard and save your money, than you too will have the power of the PlayStation 7 before it comes out.

already have a 4090 PC. Doesn't mean anything if the port is garbage. PS5 remains to have the better version.

So why aren't you on your PS5? Keep yapping on forums to random strangers who don't care about your opinion.

A fool and his money will soon be parted and there's a sucker born every minute.

NVIDIA's business model in a nutshell.

Meanwhile I'm over here playing on a 7900xtx with zero crashes or issues with nearly locked 144fps at 1440p and everything maxed.

Maybe NVIDIA will hurry up with new drivers... cause gaming is such a priority for them these days. But stay mad at the game which only has issues with NVIDIA hardware.
So i think there is Vram leak on the game if u try all off that and still crash mb you should turn on upscaling ( and adjust for yout gpu) it's work for me (4070Ti -> balanced)

Turning off XMP mode and set Ram frequency manually solved crashing and frame pacing problems. Have not had a single crash for two hours now.

Blame Nixxes. If the port was good, I would be playing it right now and your feelings wouldn’t be hurt.

Not in the near future like all PC port lol. Remember Arkham Knight when it was unplayable ? Now where do you think is the best way to play it ? Certainly not on the 1080p 30fps version of the PS5 just like Bloodborne LOL.

Arkham knight still have microstutters when gliding or driving the batmobile. lmao. Sure it's the best version to play but it's not perfect. Also why bring up a different game when we are talking about this specific game.
i already had reconstruction off. switching the distance to 9 stopped crashing at the miles part with the ambulance. hopefully will be more stable.
