PS4 controller touchpad cannot swipe

Hi, I hv already disabled steam input and starting the controller without ds4. However, when I try to use the touchpad to swipe left to use the "app" or swipe up/down to use the camera, no response from swiping, any setting I need to do first? Or else, are any alternate button I can use? I just dont wanna press the keyboard whenever I need to use those function.
