Worth it or nah?

I was really looking forward to this game.. but i hear alot of critique for the game.

Gameplay wise, story wise etc, but also DEI involvement and certain characters being not complete or very much downgraded?

I don't want to upset anyone but i want a genuine answer to if this is worth it over like spider man remastered or spiderman miles morales?


Edit: Thanks everyone for your honest and transparent inputs. Appreciate it. I have come to the conclusion that i will wait and see if they patch it and if there are mods that will fix story or characters to be overall better.

The traversal is next level! And being able to explore New York City with it alone, makes the game well worth it! The new web wing mechanic is incredible and it adds a lot more depth or options while swinging. Swing animations are much improved, and swinging feels more dynamic and realistic...

In gameplay terms, SM2 is SOOOO much better than 1 or miles morales, you have a lot of things you can do in gameplay terms, like swinging, symbiote, more skills and others, but in story, for me, SM1 have much better story in general, SM2 story was good too, but in general, almost for me, SM1 have better story, but if you like more the gameplay, then SM2 is better so far than 1, even than miles morales.

No they can't. They just do what their handlers instruct them to, and they're "outraged" when instructed to.

I think it's a fantastic game so far. I do hope some of the technical issues are ironed out soon though.

Half the reviews are saying it runs poorly and crashes a lot, plus there is sweet baby inc involvement.

Doesn't seem like a great deal, guess Sony is trying to make up that -400mil from Concord.
