Ray reconstruction adds a lot of noise to the cut scenes [STILL NO SOLUTION!]
When using the legacy or transformer ray reconstruction models it adds a lot of noise, especially to skin and hair textures when a lot of light is reflecting off those surfaces. This is very noticable in cutscenes. I think this is not intended behavior especially of the transformer model. Anybody else experiecing the same issue?

EDIT: After messing about with a lot of settings, I found out that when ray traced ambient oclusion is enabled in combination with ray reconstruction, that those two turned on at the same time is what was causing all the noise. Once I tuned off RTAO all the noise was gone.

EDIT 2: unfortunatly turning off RTAO did not resolve the noise issue. In some cutscenes it was still visible. The only work around is to turn off ray reconstruction for the time being.
Hopefully my Dutch brothers and sisters at Nixxes will fix RR with a patch soon.

EDIT 3: After two patches and the new Geforce driver 572.42 the noise present when using ray reconstruction looked like it had been fixed. I noticed way less noise in the main menu where Peter and Miles are maskless but during a cutscene in a dimly lit scene the noise was still very much present. :(
Just leave RR off and enjoy the game.

EDIT 4: I already finished the game without using RR but I am curious if patch 4 has resolved these problems? Anyone seeing improvements?

Same here, shadows looks better, but the noise is game breaker. Not even talking about the constant crashes. For me right now it is unplayable and i am not gonna disable RT with a 4090, thats for sure.
That sucks. Luckily i've only encountered one crash so far. A GPU driver error. But that seems strange since i've updated to the latest driver. Lets hope Nixxes will roll out a patch ASAP.
GPU drivers can crash from hardware instability. Hell, in games using dx12 or vulkan, gpu instability can crash the whole OS if it's severe enough. Dial back your overclock if you are overclocking. Spiderman remastered and miles morales both are very sensitive to gpu instability. Just because you're stable in 99% of games does not guarantee that you won't run into a game that shows you aren't 100% stable.

I turned everything but RT Reflections and Interiors off and the noise is still there, even without RR. This game as it is, is just not a good port at the moment.

Hair looks like sprinkled with glitter nearly constantly in cutscenes, that really shouldn't be the case.

Doesn't do much. I run 3.10.20 for all three, DLSS, FG and RR and the static on hair is still there. Faces where gone for a while but now it's back in a certain cutscene where the lighting is also completely broken (prob unrelated to DLSS/RR, just generally broken lighting cause bad code).

Oh yeah, and I force Preset K. Preset J looks arguably worse in motion. Lots of Aliasing even on DLSS Quality. That mostly goes away with Preset K.

Indeed. The hair in this game shimmers like crazy. Too bad none of these tweaks help us players out. The game needs patching.
Same issue, (5800x3d/32GB4090) very noticeable at the start of the game.... culprit is 100% Ray reconstruction - turning off RTAO didnt do anything for me. Tried DLSS swapping to the Transformer K model but that just messed up other things (character eyes started changing colors)...

Without RR the RT doesn't look great, Hope they issue a quick patch soon, was hoping to play this weekend.

I've been playing with Ray Reconstruction now off for a while and the image looks clean. Hopefully my Dutch brothers and sisters from Nixxes will fix RR with a patch soon.
I have a feeling both RT AO and RR are bugged.

Compare RT AO with HBAO and the latter is much better looking, RT AO just doesn’t work I feel.

RR adds grainy shadows and particles in motion.

That whole thing is a mess rn!!
They've released a new update today; it fixes the problem with Rey reconstruction.
When i turn on Transformer model game crashes direct all settings max out 4080 7800x3d idk what this is
