CNN will give you slightly better performance but Transformer looks considerably better.

Both has hair aliasing issues in cutscenes and flickering AO.
Yeah and what about off option? Does it significantly impact visual fidelity? Gives frame boost instead?

Yeah noticed flickering on my 4080
I'd avoid any kind of ray reconstruction for now because of the awful grain/dithering on hair and character models. Performance is better for me with it on, but it's of little use when cutscenes are regularly ruined.

Right now both look pretty bad. Hair looks awful, grainy, makes everything darker and in general...doesn't improve reflections like at all
Best setting is off in this case - Ray Reconst. looks undercooked atm. I guess whole game with crashing fiasco is...
Don't use it period. There's major issues with image stability when the camera isn't being controlled by you.

Thanks for confirming all of this, I just launched Spiderman 2 and was expecting the reflection gains of cyberpunk when that first got ray R

All cut scenes are noisy with it on even forcing the latest version, dlss on the k preset is by far the best option to use
Reflections have more detail and significantly reduced noise
I wouldn't use raytracing at all in this title the denoising breaks hair and the shader bugs it introduces looks worse than with it off with the added bonus of running 50 percent worse.

I just don't think ray reconstruction was remotely ready for rollout. A cynical side of me thinks it was allowed to release knowing all the data and crashing would allow more focused fixes as opposed to extensive QA and testing that require budgets and time.

As for the Reflections, I think ray tracing looks fantastic from a reflection standpoint and I don't see much consequence of dithering and facial noise unless I have reconstruction turned on. Overall I think the standard ray tracing and frame generation is working fine. Honestly it's mostly just the newest features that are more exclusive to Nvidia that seem to be problematic and I just think it wasn't budgeted well enough before release to optimize and resolve in QA.

Ray reconstruction (either CNN or transformer) doesn't offer anything in this game, except visual glitches in all the cutscenes and minor issues in-game. You should keep it disabled until it does something else

cnn is definitely useable and does help with certain extra detail and reflections but its not worth it considering cutscenes.
Transformer was the better looking in my experience, but ray reconstruction caused a weird flickering in the hair of characters as well as visual noise in certain shadows. Best left off for now.

Ray Tracing is broken with pc release of this game. Nvidia even tell please deactivate RT completely better is!
Do not use RR in this game. It’s
Incredibly heavy on performance . I agree RT is broken in this game . Noise is terrible on Spiderman suit.
Also FG Nvidia is artefacting when moving. Absolutely not smooth despite 200fps displayed.

Nixxes for sure has been stressed out to deliver quickly this game .
Worst pc port of nixxes.
