Requirements are INSANE
4090 for ultimate ray tracing in 4k ok I get it but 4080 for 60 fps in 1440p? What are they smoking??

Am I missing something? Is "ultimate ray tracing" like path tracing in cp2077?

I think the requirements should not be taken literally due to nixxes optimization, and are just a reference to know approximately what you need to play the game, in my case I have an rx 560 that is not even listed in the minimum requirements, but I know that using amd fsr I will be able to get at least 30 fps.

Ray tracing is demanding. Also Nixxe's pc ports are some of the best in the business
That’s without dlss or frame generation so ofc it will need high end to run the max settings at 4k

The medium is insane. How do you need an AMD Radeon RX 5700 or a RTX 3060 when the AMD equivalent is a 2060... What the hell man

ill be running it with a 4090 but im still worried about performance. Yeah nixxes did a very great job with all the other ports but something about this is concerning imo. no pre order for starters and we are less than a day away, no reviews released yet. got a feeling this is being rushed out the door due to the source code and all that being leaked months back for pc

Almost the exact same as Forbidden West without RT
if the requirements are with upscaling in mind, then the only reason they would recommend 4090 is if they have Path Tracing or as NVidia calls it "Full RT" in the game. But if it is native res they are talking about then yea that makes sense. My 4080 does a great job at 4K and very high fps with any RT features using dlss super res. The only thing that tanks my fps in path tracing which I doubt this game has.

Miles Morales runs and looks much better (with RT) that Spiderman 1. I'm hoping Spiderman 2 will have comparable performance.

y'all just broke and need to upgrade your PC's. Expecting this game to run on your low end 970 Ti is completely asinine. Just because you can run CS:GO on it doesn't mean everything else can.
The full chart shows the game scales really well down to handhelds. Nixxes does a good job and this isn't stutter engine 5 :sider:

it will be ultra pig and poorly optimized. I won't buy it now. Go wait for the millions of updates.

It's not the nvidia full rt. It's raytraced reflections, shadows, and ambient occlusion. Basically the same rt as ratchet and clank PC version. This game is just heavier since the crowd density, lod, and map have all seen an increase vs the first game.
ray tracing was never optimized. none of the games that have proper raytracing can run decent without dlss upscaling. these recommended specs doesnt take dlss upscaling into account i guess. Wait for proper benchmarks if u wanna know bfore makin the purchase

im on a 970, i'd kill for a TI XD
NVIDIA makes inefficient as hell GPU's and people are surprised that their proprietary software works best on their most expensive GPU where vRAM restrictions aren't nearly as much of a problem as they are on the lower cards... and this surprises people?

4080 having as much vRAM as the 6900xt which launched nearly half a decade ago is pathetic.

The fact that NVIDIA markets their cards as having crap performance until you use DLSS is another huge red flag about what you should expect on money spent vs return in performance. Every generation with NVIDIA the return is getting smaller and smaller.

But hey gotta pay for all that AI nonsense.
