140gb for what?
Spider-man 2 doesn't add enough content to warrant that install size when compared to the 75gb of the first one.

It's likely not exactly 140gb, Hell Divers 2 says 100gb on the specs page, but it's utilizing 80.16gb of actual space.

It likely requires some free space as well for processing during installation. I'm betting it's closer to 100-120gb of actual utilized space.
Content has nothing to do with file size. This should be common knowledge by now.

companies don't bother with both optimisation and reducing file sizes anymore. With bigger hard drives and crutches like dlss they save money on not doing things properly
The massive amount of bugs takes the extra space :-)

The game takes up 107gb, the map size is almost double, u have way more suits, for 2 spider-men now, i think the storage size is respectable. It's around the same size on PS5 aswell, upgrade Ur storage capacity.

these days storage is cheaper than full priced games. People cry and cry about devs wanting to boost graphics. So making graphics better and upscaling takes alot of storage. A 1 tb ssd can go from 40-70 depending on the brand. I bought a 4tb ssd for 120 during a good sale over summer. For the price of 2 games I bought 4 terrabytes of storage.
OP's off their meds again...
It takes a lot of storage to contain all 19 inches of Venom.
Ever heard of resolution?

Also it's 107.56GB
