Personally I've never had issues with spider-man or miles morales even on my old 10 year old pc before I upgraded.
I hope you figure it out.
And I've seen plenty of people complain about the issues I'm having. So no it's not just my rig, it's literally the only games that lag like that, newer more demanding games run perfectly fine even on the highest settings, vs this one having big lag spikes here and there no matter the settings, even the lowest settings.
I tried changing quality to super low, doesn't matter, it lags as much in super low as it does in super high.
I tried updating my GPU drivers, nope.. I tried disabling cores cause from what I read it's bad programming that makes it so if you have too many cores it just doesn't work? so the worse your computer is, the better it runs...
Also nope...
So.. to be fair.. I love the games so I just gave up and do with the random FPS drops here and there
Reduced my NVIDIA card from 240Hz to 120 (couldn't go lower without going into ♥♥♥♥ TV resolutions for 60Hz) and so far so good.. fingers crossed
(oh... and I'm currently playing Miles Morales, not the new one,.. just to be clear.. since i asked before it came out cause i had lag/frame drop issues with the first spiderman game and miles..
EDIT: cause i'm not gonna make a new comment each time... I don't know what's up with this but... i changed the Hz value on my pc's nvidia control pannel... down to 120.. then back to 240.. then down to 60.. then up... then down in the game.. then back up..
Yeah definitely a refresh rate issue. or frames per second whatever. I've been playing for like 2 hours now, barely any lag issues.. the session before? lag every 10 seconds
EDIT 2: oh and... I also disabled a lot of cores... but that didn't do anything when I tried that before, before changing the hz/framerate options.. so i doubt that has anything to do with it.. but not gonna change it back just in case, i enjoy not having framedrops
