There will be no delay. And not all games on Steam have pre-orders.

Yes, they have a preorder offer on the store page, but the game releases in 3 days - like how many preorders could it possibly sell in the preorder window time frame ?

Sure, the game will sell a lot after it releases, but for the actual remaining preorder window time frame... most games open preorders like weeks even months before release.

I also would preorder it if they'd open them up, but not really sure it even has any sense for them to do so at this point.

Today or pre orders just don't happen. I don't know why Insomniac and Nixxes are keeping us in the dark about this, at least update the spec list

The game is probably a hot mess. Thats probably why they arent hyping it up and probably why they havent offered preorders or allowed for preloading. If someone were to get their hands on a build and crack it early, we might find out the game isnt running well and that would affect day 1 sales. It doesnt bode well so far. The unofficial port of the game thats been out for months now is plagued with performance issues, requires a very fast ssd to run properly and even when youre playing with a loaded rig, still has serious problems. Problems I imagine they never managed to iron out to the degree that would make a presentable product for the pc masses.

No, i don't think that is the case - remember NIXXES are pretty amazing at doing PC ports, in fact after Id Software like i would say they are the next best in terms of PC versions.

Also the game won't be that demanding since it's not even that big of an improvement over SPIDERMAN 1 - my bet is it will runs the same as that one, but it will feature stuff like RT and DLSS.

The biggest difference spec wise will be the hard drive requirement. This will be SSD recommended or required in order for the fast travelling to work the same as PS5.

PS5s operate on gen 4 SSDs at read speed of at least 5,500MB/s.
