The second one is better due to the stealth mechanic working. As soon as you KO an enemy in Spider-man 1 your stealth is gone for some reason.

The only thing with Miles Morales is that it's REALLY short, feels more like a DLC than a whole game.

My thoughts:

The First one has a better, solid storyline and characters.
MM was a solid expansion and gave Miles his own story, but GREATLY increased the gameplay, making swinging more fun and fast paced.
2 I have not played but have watched playthroughs.
2 Has better gameplay than 1, BUT the story is trash.
Why is it trash?
It has a personality and identity disorder.
It wants Miles to be the next main character, and to build him up as a hero.
It wants Peter to be the flawed mentor on his way out.
Thats what the story tells you.
BUT the gameplay and missions tell you Peter is the hero, and Miles is the witty sidekick delivering Pizza for citizens of NYC.
The missions give Miles the arduous busy chores, and Peter the consequential battles.
This conflicts with the story we are being told.

Just my two cents.

I played it and it was just lackluster. Peter dies to a f*ckn small knife. Venom doesn't feel like Venom which they also knew it was going to be this way. It wasn't a new Venom, either. They just brought ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Venom again in order to make story 'emotional' even though it wasn't. It felt stupid.

Oh yeah, VENOM IS BARELY IN GAME EVEN THOUGH THEY MARKETED THIS GAME AROUND VENOM. It really do feel like a scam.

I was actually just watching a youtube critique of 2 vs 1, and I am hoping that modders find ways to fix the looping being locked to 1 direction in your dive, and sometimes turning into a swing when the dive angle is not low enough. Fingers crossed...

Both games are very good, the 2nd improves everything that the first one has, plus there is no second game without the first

Doesn't improve the story and characters. In fact it actively damages the world it's set in and not in the typical good Spider-Man way.
