I'm happy for no pre order
At least now people get the chance to read the reviews about PC performance and how the game runs in general on different hardware. This is an optimal scenario playing out even if some of you don't like it, in the end it's objectively better for ya'll, be happy.

it not being available for preorder now doesn't mean it won't be available for preorder in the future, it's probably gonna be delayed

Nope. Won't be delayed.

Smart and reasonable take.

Well I can say the same thing about your opinion. See it goes both ways :)

i said "probably delayed", i'm not pretending to know it won't be 100%, unlike you who flat out says it won't be

Your "probably" isn't really porbable based on the history of delays. Games DO NOT get delayed so close to release and this is an objective fact that goes against your opinion. Time will tell who was correct but using "pre orders and no spec" as a reason for a delay has litearlly no weight.

Actually we do know that. Insomniac very explicitly responded on Twitter just 9 days ago that game is still scheduled for 30th.

In addition, game store pages are slowly showing up on official retailers websites like Green Man Gaming. They are clearly preparing for sale launch.
Well Steams refund policy would take care of that in the event performance analysis is bad. Some people like to preorder. More power to them, it's their money

yea, keywords being "9 days ago" and "scheduled"

usually delays aren't "scheduled", if they were, they wouldn't be delays
I have more trust in Nixxes than any other AAA developer, and I say "trust" rather than "faith" because their work so far has been mostly excellent (and if you have to go back to the last Deus Ex to quibble then we're not talking about today's Nixxes but some kind of Ship of Theseus situation where an old wave of staff is somehow the current wave of staff).

On that same basis, I can believe they'd delay because it's the responsible thing to do if there's a problem. I'm okay with that, if so. If they're being pushed by Sony to crunch right up to the wire just to meet the deadline of the 30th, that would be pretty sad but with the amount of money riding on this, I could believe that too

People already have two weeks to refund the game. There is no downside to preordering on Steam.

It says on the Steam page that they are adding pre-orders
