Spiderman 2 - unfortunately your gpu is not supported by the game?
Hi All, looking to see if anyone else has come across the following issue with Spiderman 2?

I am trying to play on the following rig:

CPU: Intel Core i9 14900K (24 cores / 32 threads, 3.2GHz – 6.0GHz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER (16GB)
RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 5600MHz
Storage: 2TB Corsair MP600 CORE XT M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI
PSU: Corsair RM850X – 850W, 80 PLUS Gold Certified
Cooling: 240mm 3XS AIO Liquid Cooler
Case: Corsair 3000D RGB Airflow (White)

So the game should run easy...

However, when i try running the game, I get the following error:

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

⚠️ Unfortunately, your GPU is not supported by the game. Please check the minimum system requirements. Current GPU: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770

I have changed the game to run from the GPU and not the Intel Graphics 770, but I still get the same error. When I acknowledge the error and allow the game to play, it becomes all weird, slow, and has distorted graphics that is unplayable.

Have any of you seen or had this issue?

Any advice would be appreciated,

Many thanks,

Colzo26

It sounds like Windows is ignoring your settings and selecting the iGPU in accordance with the power profile. You can try changing your power profile in settings > System > Power to Best Performance. If that doesn't work disable the Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770 in Device Manager
I assume this is a laptop...but yes, as the person above me said, the Nvidia software is not switching to the dedicated GPU properly when the game launches. You need to fix this in the Nvidia control panel. It's trying to run on the Intel graphics which explains your issues.

Do not disable the Intel graphics, it will make the laptop not work at all. When the dedicated GPU is active for a game, the Intel graphics are used as a pass-through.

From the specs list the OP gave it is clear this isn't a laptop

Oh, in that case the OP has the monitor plugged into the wrong port and just needs to switch that.
