Asus TUF A15 RTX 3050 4GB Max TDP vs Actual Wattage Utilization in Spider-Man 2
Hi everyone,

I’ve been having an issue with my Asus TUF A15 laptop (RTX 3050 4GB) while playing Spider-Man 2. According to the specifications, the max TDP of the GPU is 74W, but I’m noticing that the laptop is only utilizing around 40-45W in Spider-Man 2, even though the game is quite demanding. The performance isn’t as great as expected, but it runs fine in other games, such as CS2 (Counter-Strike 2), where it utilizes the GPU more efficiently.

Here are my laptop specs for reference:

Model: Asus TUF A15
GPU: RTX 3050 4GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD
Display: 15.6" Full HD, 144Hz
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m wondering if it’s a power management issue, thermal throttling, or if the game itself isn’t fully utilizing the GPU. I’ve checked GPU usage and temps, and they seem fine during CS2, but in Spider-Man 2, the performance feels a bit off.

Anyone have suggestions or insights into what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The game doesn't toture the graphics card very much, my RX 6750XT also needs only 145 instead of 190 wattage power or more. But have in mind you shouldn't compare this game or Indiana Jones with CS 2. I've forgotten to mention that you could slightly overclock your gpu (not the VRAM) to have a slightly better performance.
