Crashes my whole PC with RTX 5080
So, I've been playing the game with my rtx 3080 in 4k and the settings it allowed me to get 60fps, no RT nothing fancy but mostly high settings.
I just got an RTX 5080 a couple of days ago and of course crancked up all the settings and RT and all the good stuff. I play 60fps cause I use a big 4k tv and is only 60Hz so I cap my games to 60fps.
Since then the freaking game crashes my pc entirely and I have to restart it cause it doesn't respond at all, just freezes.
Yes, I have updated drivers and haven't had any problem with any other game apart from this one.
This happened a couple of times in game after a few minutes of gameplay. I deactivated the Raytracing reconstruction and transformer model and it %50 solved the problem, now it doesn't crashes while I play but when I close the game and go back to desktop my pc freezes again and I have to restart. I reinstalled the game and I'm troubleshooting deactivating things, I'll try to framegen now as I read that this could make some people crash their pc.
Does anyone know what is happening, or is anyone having same issues as me?
I don't think is a hardware problem, I think there must be some aspects of the game that are broken cause I have a top end pc.

Look through windows event log and find the crash and see if you can identify the source. This should give an idea of where to start. Having a high end system doesn't always mean it's not your system, though with this game my guess is going to be software related.
Its Nvidias drivers, they have released 3 broken drivers in a row. Check their driver forum and you will see many gamers complaining and Nvidia ignoring everyone. If you put in a ticket with them, they send back a generic answer that means nothing.

Update. I was trying deactivating options and some people recommended to remove a couple of .dll files from the game folder. I did so and now the game works like a charm full RT and FG on, no more crashes for the moment.

Thanks for telling us what files.

Thanks for telling us what files.

I'm gonna guess the direct storage ones. So dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll.

You could try run DirectX Diagnostic.

3080 TI, game freezes at the half hour approx
I have a 4080. I just launch NVIDIA, I click optimize, and it runs great...
Same here - full PC reboot after the Sony logo at the start. Deleting the direct storage files didn't help.

Game ran absolultely fine last weekend when I tested it.

EDIT: seems like the solution is to disable framegen in the launcher, and then enable it in-game. Every time.

I beat the game without any issues on my 13900K 4090

Latest Nvidia Driver, Latest Nvidia dlls, 4K DLSS Quality, FG On, Maxed RT, Maxed Settings
Happened to me as well, well a bit different kinda. I have a 5080 with maxed out settings and it works pretty well however when I turn on frame gen it crashes the game and pulls that Sony report thing. I updated my drivers to the latest ones yesterday and frame gen worked until I restarted my PC and it started doing it again. Hopefully there’s a fix to it soon
Well I'm assuming all of you are using win 11 24H2

That's exactly what i've told under another trouble topic. Since i use Windows 10 again the games run without any flaws.

one of the reasons i am returning the 5080 next week. It kept making the entire computer crash until i said "screw it" and then rocked out the 4090 and you know what? Not having any issues w this game now that i verified game files.
