That's the dumbest thing about this whole situation, it's not the fact of requiring the account, it's the bloody inconsistency of Sony that's the stupidest ♥♥♥♥ around. Especially when you can't have a PlayStation account in many countries.
Either make it that all of them require one or bloody don't.
Honestly, I can not purchase them and just play them on my Ps5 as I already own them there, but I want to support the devs, not the publisher. The devs deserve the money and that is a large part of why I repurchase a lot of console games I own on Steam.
I don't feel the same about Xbox titles as Xbox titles all require an account, which is consistent.
