Enabling Nvidia Frame Generation causes entire PC to crash and restart
I've never had a single game do this to me and I don't know why it's happening. I can set everything up to max settings and it will work fine albeit with low framerates but the moment I try to enable Frame Gen, my PC reboots itself. The AMD Frame Gen seems to work but I think it makes the text look so bad it's too unenjoyable and distracting to play. If it matters, I'm trying to play in 4K.

My specs are: 4080 Super, 7800x3d, 64gb DDR5, 1000w PSU, Samsung 990 Pro NVMe

Ive the same problem since the latest patch/nvidia drivers. Iam on a 4090, the rest of our systems are almost identical.

Oh yeah I saw your post shortly after I posted mine. I actually just ended up solving this issue for me by doing a clean install of my GPU drivers but I think you said you tried that already. This port is so busted. I hope you figure it out dude.

i tried clean installs of everything and nothing worked for me. I ended up finding the use of gsync and framegen to be the culprit after the latest driver update. I just finished the game with gsync disabled. notably, other than CP2077, using gsync, framegen and DLSS4 profile K through profile injector does not cause issues. i'm pretty sure it's a driver issue. i5 13600k RTX4080.
EDIT: seem like last update fixed everything

Yeah FG4+gsync on 40 series=dead
Unfortunately i don't see Nvidia ever fixing this issue, from their perspective, 40 series(even 4090) is obselete now... :(( We're stuck with driver version 466+NVPI/DLSS swapper if we want both gsync and dlss4

I had some crashes in Cyberpunk but some Nvidia drivers work better some worse. Anyway. Cyberpunk if crashes it does only on loading screen. Indiana Jones crashes right after I turn on frame generator in settings.
You said about turning off V-sync. Did you do that in game menus or Nvidia control panel?
MFG x4 or x3 on 50-series also make the game freeze at random points and force restarts my pc. Smooth motion (MFG x2) is also making the game unplayable, running at 40-60 fps in the main menu, but after disable it, it runs 170-220 fps in menu
