Fishing Rod Location

Has anyone found the fishing rod yet? I cannot find it.

I don't know how far you are, but you can't fish until you reach the final stretch of the current early access content. It's to the southern most part of the island that you crash land on after taking a hot air balloon ride. An NPC gives it to you after completing a task.
