Either that or it’s because the game is simply in early access and they just haven’t organized the spirit dex yet. They’re likely still creating Spirit mons and they don’t know what’s going to be in or out.
If it is because they want the existence of the new evo’s to be a surprise, I think that’s kind of a silly reason, as the obvious giveaway of a new evolution is actually a great source of anticipation for most people. The real joy is inside of allowing that anticipation to exist, then having it be satisfied when the player finally gets to see the new evolutions. It’s a lot like seeing presents under the Christmas tree weeks before Christmas and knowing that you can’t open them until December 25th. There’s a joy inside of that anticipation which I feel should be allowed to exist, but that gets taken away by keeping it all hidden.
In all honesty though, I’m just thinking about it too hard, because I’ve got nothing to do today, and in general, I just like leaving deeply thought out and long comments. It really is probably just because the devs are working on new spirits, and once they’ve finalized what’s going to be in the game, they’ll likely go back and numerically organize the spirit dex.
