I played the demo and loved it. Are there any plans for a switch release eventually? It would be great as a portable game.

We think it would be the perfect game for Switch. But it's our first game, so we wanted to focus on the Steam release first. We'd love to continue developing the game, and we hope that part of that will be creating a Switch port.

That's what I was thinking yea. If, and I think it will be successful on Steam first. I know a port is not easy and Nintendo is probably the worst for that. I am saving up for a steamdeck though.
