Freezing & Crashing

The game is outstanding, but I'm barely able to play due to screen freezes and the game shutting down. I play on steam deck. I have verified the integrity of my files and restarted my system. It seems to happen most when a new window pops up (like buying something in the shop) or after switching from one setting to another (like map/shop to caravan). Sometimes just trying to navigate the map causes a freeze/crash.

interested to see if anyone else has this issue. I have played 9 hours and had zero issues on OLED 1TB Steam Deck

Thank you for reporting this issue! Can you please let us know which version of SteamDeck you are using? No one has reported serious problems with SteamDeck, so we'd like to find out what the problem is. Also, have you tried changing the graphics level and possibly the resolution?

I actually had crashing on my regular steam deck too - turning off fan settings and background downloads helped mine.

Thanks for the report. We'll have our own Steam Deck soon, so we'll try it out.

Not sure if this helps but I recently bought the game on steam. But I must say it has been freezing up multiple times witch cauzed me loosing my level.
It isn't long, usueally few seconds , but its long enough to interupt the flow of the game and makes me start over. Must say that it is pretty annoying from time to time.
(thats why I came to see if it was a known bug, so hope you don't mind I put the issue in this topic to keep things collected)

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to find out the reason for this issue. Can you please tell us what processor, graphics card, operating system, and monitor resolution you are using? This will help us identify the problem.
Also, please try the Graphics Quality option in the game settings. Does the game crash and freeze even when the graphics quality is set to the lowest level?
