I think Motherload might have been the first one, but there were definitely others; "Utopian Mining", for example. Also, "Miner Dig Deep," but that one wasn't Flash.

Yeah, Motherload is the mother of this genre of games. However, it was inspired by Dig Dug, which was released in 1982 and is possibly the oldest mining game (although it was about killing monsters rather than mining ore).

Ad Fundum demo is really fun.
Too bad I can't afford it due to current health issue atm that destroy my wallet but I strongly suggest it! Loved the demo!
