CHEATER Tag

I have been playing only with my friend and we both got branded as cheaters after a couple of games. We didn't have any mod installed. It goes without saying that we weren't cheating and we only used the in game configurator.
What is going on?

Could you please remember the exact steps you did when distributing the game points? Did you load any preset? Did you change the default points?

We loaded a preset we made last week last time we played (before the last patch), when we played around with deafult point, timers and alliances. I noticed that we already had the tag when we entered the lobby yesterday before starting the game. I'll ask my friend if he still has the preset (he was the host) with more details.

I am chasing this problem for quite a while already :(

The files I need are in Documents/My Games/ICBM-Escalation/Maps/ folder, you can just compress the whole folder.

I feel like this is the first time I've ever seen one of these "I swear I wasn't cheating bro!" posts and it is actually a bug or a mistake.

Yeah honestly I was kinda worried. I would usually roll my eyes and go “sure buddy” reading posts like this.
Really glad the dev believed me.

I hope it will disappear soon (and never get it back), I think people wouldn’t be very keen on playing with someone with that next to his name
