Okay, where the heck is the thermal power facility?

The save is 50+ hours old now and I have found all alien facilities (I think) except that one. I found something what must be the primary containment facility, but I can't get inside it because it requires a blue tablet and I haven't seen or found one yet. I'm just assuming that I will find a blue tablet at the thermal power facility because that is the only tablet type left to find.

Now the PDA describes clearly that it's supposed to be somewhere down "1.2 kms in depth and in an area of intense volcanic activity". Well that's exactly where the heck I am. I am at my base at a crater (1.3 depth) which also has an opening that leads to the structure that I described above. But I combed the area 4 times now and there is nothing but lava lizards and one sea dragon patrolling. And warpers.

So can someone tell me where I'm supposed to look for it without spoiling too much?

Okay I think I found it (I mean I found something).

It is approximately 400-500m from the crater in that area. So if you set up a base there like I did, just thoroughly search for it I guess? As there is nothing else really to it? If you take the big ass crater in that area as reference, make a circular grid with a 500m radius and search for it around.

I wish there were vague directions or hints as to where I am supposed to look for, as with the other facilities.

I mean I love this game and all but damn, this took ages for me to find. And I still don't know how I found it either, I just unintentionally entered a tiny opening and bam there it was.

There are two ways to get there, both are in the Lost River. Either by going by past the Cove Tree or by by going past the Research Facility where a Ghost Leviathan guards a large hole in the ground. Once you see lava you are in the right area, there is a structure called the "Lava Castle", you will know it when you see it. The thermal power facility is inside that

Well in my case, the Lava castle wasn't obvious and I ended up on it trying to hide from the Sea Dragon. Then found alien pillars and facepalmed.
