Refurbish/demolish the old bases [Feature wish]

I found it a missing piece in the game mechanics that is is not possible to re-use the old, abandoned bases you find in the game. Some would do a nice place to live for me (or at least I believe so).

I mean, I have a repair tool, so why not repair some damage. If it can repair a submarine and my own base, it should be able to repair an old one of the same type too. Also there's plenty of water in this game, so I could be doing a little clean-up of the remains ... kind of spring cleaning, you know.

Also, it feels strange to not be able to deconstruct old base pieces although you can deconstruct almost anything new. I thought this builder tool to be quite an advanced tool, but this disappoints me. It means I cannot even re-erect the old bases from scratch after getting rid of everything inside them and the old pieces themselves.

(Actually the latter aspect would mean that it would be possible to deconstruct all the equipment found in wrecks, from beds to chairs, similar to what the scan tool does. So it would quite heavily alte the availability of certain resources.)

P.S. Yes, I am aware I can' t expect this feature to be implemented, but wanted to share the idea anyway.

I was thinking about something similar yesterday when a reaper crushed my seamoth and the pieces disappeared. I would've liked to be able to reuse some of the scrap metal, for example.

this is a great idea like i would kill to live in one deagsi bases on those cliffs on the island above the dg reef cuz that view is perfect
