FIX for Can't Swim Issue (without cheating!)
Many players have found themselves suddenly unable to swim after visiting the Precursor gun. You exit a base or craft – and fall straight to the ocean floor, unable to swim. The Prawn Suit too behaves as if it were in air, not water.

If you go to the F1 menu, you see something like this:
LD biome: seaTreaderPath

What can you do? "Unstuck" from the Pause menu can fix this temporarily, but it soon reoccurs. You need to reset they player's biome, including for the Prawn Suit (and perhaps Sea Moth). It really helps if you can reach your Cyclops. Fortunately mine wasn't too far away, and by building base foundations (even unfinished ones) I could jump my Prawn Suit up to reach the Cyclops docking bay. I took the Cyclops back to the Precursor gun and entered its moonpool. Jumping the Cyclops out of the water helped reset the biome:

That's player's biome resynchronised. Taking the Cyclops down near the moonpool floor (just in case) I launched the Prawn Suit and verified its biome was also reset and it could jump properly through the water. I re-docked it to the Cyclops and exited the gun installation. After that the biome behaviour stayed synchronised: I was able to get back to what I was doing both swimming and in the Prawn Suit.

The above still left me not using oxygen while swimming. However later, in the Prawn Suit, I used one of the arches to teleport back to the Primary Containment Facility to get some more cubes. On returning to the ocean, oxygen use was re-enabled.

Make a tube with a Hatch. Go in. Go out. You should be fixed.

Entering and leaving a base didn't help for me. That was a hatch on a multipurpose room though, not a tube. Or does it have to be a structure you make while in that state?

Any Hatch transit should reset character environment state.

Also it doesn't help the Prawn Suit state; even when character state was reset, the Prawn Suit was still broken, and entering it would re-break the character state. As best as I could tell, you have to visit the Precursor gun or Primary Containment Facility to reset the Prawn.

Well, Using another PRAWN with a PRAWN Propulsion Gun to lift/move the out of state Prawn would probably do it ... but then you have two PRAWNs.

Lifting it INTO the Cyclops Docking Bay (or a moonpool) would certainly do it. You might be able to accomplish this while riding the PRAWN, with Jump Jets and Grapple Arm. But in the "out of water" physics it would be tricky.

I don't think the hand-held Prop Cannon has the power to lift it.
