You said you use Qmods, which is deprecated with the current version of the game.
I got the latest version so i gues no legacy. (Bulid version 71288)
But all the mods i have, i got from a YT link, where mods are shown etc. (NexusMods)
It said its for the 2.0 Latest Version. I checked all requirements for every mod. I took every latest version from NexusMods. There where some that did not load, could not be found but only 2-3. It didn't even install them, so i removed them.
And yes, at first i tried everything with QModManager until i found the "newest version" to install mods in Subnautica via "Vortex".
I uninstalled Subnautica, all the files, QMod, everything, and installed everything new, but this time with Vortex according to another YT Clip (for modding Subnautica in 2025).
Installation was no problem with Vortex, i installed about 10 mods, everythning green lighted, enabled, and so on.
Starting a new game, and it is the same result like in my discription above.
Only this time with Vortex but the bug stays the same
Perhaps something not related to it, some driver in the backround for something.....
System :
Case CM Storm Sniper (yes the Old One)
i7 8700k @ stock
Vega 56 Nitro+ / System installed new a month ago / GPU Driver etc. all newest
32GB 3000Mhz Vengance RAM
500GB SSD System / 1TB SSD Gamesdrive
600W Be Quiet
Current version mods need BepinEx 4.?? I KNOW there are instructions on Nexus that tell you this, along with the exact version #.
(Someone with recent mod install experience help me out here.)
Vortex is NOT mod enabling software for Subnautica. It is a general mod loading and managing tool for Nexus sourced mods, for any game.
Great tool, but it will attempt to load whatever mods and helper software you feed it, even if they are incorrect for your game version.
