Did you set your graphics to Highest (if that is what you are using) in the first pop-up loading menu? Not the main menu where you load your save games.

Yes I did, but since I have 4gb ram the game auto puts all settings on the lowest possible, my problem is not the graphics, but the game crash when I try to change them.

If you changed it in the game launcher popup before the game started and set it to high..Then there is no reason why now you cant change it back to low...If it says low in the popup screen before the game starts then the game is starting in low, not high..Im not sure what the issue your having is....

If the pop up says its set to low, as you stated it auto sets it to lowest settings automacticly..Then the game isnt launching in high..That option shouldnt be grayed out, to where you cant change it...If its already on low you dont need to..What GPU are you using?

Maybe the game is crashing cause you dont have the graphics/processing power to run the game at anything other then low...So maybe stop trying to change it, and deal with running on low settings or refund the game or upgrade your Rig.....You cant run a game on higher settings then your Hardware well allow...There is no fix to that other then upgrading your hardware. So again..What GPU are you using? And what Processor for that matter too..I've ran the game on a AMD A4-5000 Dual core with built in apu(intergrated graphics) with 4gb's of ram also...I could start the game up in med just fine from the popup window luncher..It didnt lock me out of the settings...The High setting would also crash for me as well, but thats due to not having the processing/graphics power to do so.....Am now using a AMD a10-5800k and a Nvdia 750 SC and play fine on high(minus the dots bug that just started to happen in the last 4-5 days, which just so happens to be when the unpacking time for updates seems to have doubled/tripled in time to complete-Which ive already sent a report on for)

There might be a start up command you can add to the config file(if you can find it-just looked and i cant. They seemed to of hidden it)..But for a alpha game that is already buggy...Doing so, just to run it on high settings when your pc clearly cant handle it, is just asking for more bugs...So maybe if ya change the graphics from low to high and it results in a crash. Ya might want to consider its time to upgrade, or just play on low or med..Why not just run the game on Med why do you keep trying to run it on High- which is experimental at that..The High graphics settings are experimtal to begin with, its not what would be considered the stable version- due to im guessing lighting/Ray testing, as there is more reflection/glare & there's fugly looking light rays in the water..The Recommended settings/Medium/Normal setting is..Not familair with Unity and its sys/user config file command abilitys..

I can guarantee I have enough processing power, the other graphics are running fine, when I select Highest it puts all the setttings on the highest, except the textures, they stay on low and cannot be changed, it will crash my game. I have over the minimum for the game for most of the requirments and for others, the exact minimum but still enough. I also run the game on over 60 FPS even with all graphics (except textures of course) on the highest. here are my specs anyway.

Graphics Card: AMD RAEDON R7 200 Series
Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 COU 3.10 GHZ (4 cores and threads)\
System: 64 bit Windows 7
RAM: 4 GB. This is the exacpt minimum of the games specs, but with all other graphics on full and no log, this should not be the cause of the problem

I have better specs than what you have ran the game up but my problem is that the game will not allow me to change the setting, it just crashes instantly and does not save. Specs are fine. I can run the game fine, no lag or FPS issues. I'm having fun playing the game and can live without the amazing textures but I still want a fix for this as it is a big annoyance.

I also have 600 GB of space free right now so its not a hard drive issue ( If it could even be that)

Thanks for the help, I would post this on the Unknown worlds forum, but I litterally cannot find the post button :steamfacepalm:
