Obviously a Radeon issue. They are working on that problem right now since Radeon GPUs are having issues playing the game correctly. Also, you really need more than 2GB of memory on that card. More memory is always better, especially with today's games.

GTX 750Ti here, no problems. Are your drivers updated?

The most likely reason normally is not the driver, however in AMDs case it may be. In my case I just removed realtek hd audio driver and now using default windows at default settings and also using debug setting on my video card which forces it to run at default factory specs, so we will see how that goes.

Also make sure your Nvidia Manager isn't auto-setting your graphics settings for Subnautica. That can really mess with EA titles, where graphics adjustments are low-priority.

Can imagine that, even if can perfectly play Fallout 4, BlackOPS3 e many other games that require more GPU memory. Subnautica crash immediately.... Hope to have a chance to play this game, with a patch, without worring to buy another laptop. Money wasted.
I'm Having same issue. Display Driver stops working. Have updated drivers. Play other games just fine. Fallout 4, 7 Days to die, borderlands all my other Steam games work fine. Its not a ATI Radeon issue. It is a 'Subnautica' Issue. This is a great game that my boys and I used to enjoy playing. Really hope the can fix this issue soon or we will have to find some other game and get our money back. We have only been able to play a few hours before they did the update that broke the game. Hope the fix it because in that short time we came to really enjoy the game.

Good answer Infermalrevenueservice007, also because we do not have a commodore 64 as laptop. This is a Subnautica engine issue; we contribute for its develpoment buying the game even being aware of its beta release, but we DO need support now, if we can not play what we buy for. There is not any RADEON warnings on suggested requirements.
I wish i could have support in any form or eventually have money back.

It's not so much a Subnautica issue, well it is but it's linked to a bug in unity which the dev's said they're trying to fix as fast as they can. I've not been able to play the game for a week. Both stable and the experimental branch.

Same problem here. Game crashes usually on red grass biome. Kelp and shallow biomes are stable. For me it's definetely Subnautica problem, not my system. (WIN 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 5670 1GB, Intel Core I3-2100, 3,1 GHz)
