Just Spawned into an Empty World

No resources, plants, animals, etc on my new Survival game.

How do I fix this lol? I've played this game years ago, so at one point it worked.

Mods? If so, remove them or update to a version that works with the last update.

Oh someone else! I thought I was the only one with the problem.
Same here, there's nothing, just silence and emptiness. Reinstalled several times and nothing. Already two messages via the F8 button and in the forum. No Mods

To be sure I would need your log file, but the probable cause is a permission issue in the folder "C:\ProgramData\Unknown Worlds".

Make sure your user can read / write / create folders in there.

And make sure you have enough empty space on C.

Hello and thank you for the reply.

I installed it again and nothing again.
I still have more than 1TB of space, I'm admin on my computer and the folder "C:\ProgramData\Unknown Worlds" doesn't exist. When saving I get an error message "Save failed (Value cannot be null. Parameter name path1)"

But I know you have the permission error. Create the folder and give it the proper permissions. Alternatively you can play in admin mode but I would rather try to fix the permissions instead.

No fish or resources loading into game, game wont let me save

Hi, I recently got a new laptop, and I have been wanting to replay subnautica, when I went in, I noticed there was no fish in the game, and I looked around and couldn't find any limestone deposits either, its like the game is only loading in the base map and nothing else. Also, when I try and save the game, it comes up with this message; Save data saving failed (Value cannot be null. Parameter name: path 1) try again? and when I click try again, the same message pops up. I tried verifying the integrity of the game files, and that didnt work so I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. is anyone else having the same issue or know how to solve it? thanks:)

This is the folder for your log file, not the one that needs the permissions. Check again my first message, answer to this thread.

Have the same problem as Neugze.

And it seems besides the Empty world issue i cant save the game and there is no player log in low roam.

uninstall/deleting/Reinstall didnt work.
amd drivers up to date.
game integrety was verified multiple times.
moving the game from d to c didnt work
no mods installed
and i am on my admin account so not sure whats wrong there, but it does seem to be a writing / permission problem alltough i have no idea how to solve it

Running as Admin didnt fix it, checked all folders and made sure me (my account) has permission to write

Okay so i've been sitting on this for longer than i want to admit

I seemed to have found a fix by creating a folder "C:\ProgramData\Unknown Worlds"
But frankly i tried out so many diffrent things and installed / deleted / reinstalled /moved the game so much i am not sure how much my "fix" will work for you

also granted permission to everything and anything everywhere which sounds great, ay.
