Controller Support - wrong button inputs?

Hi, I'm using a DS5 and I cannot get the button inputs to work. I've just tried using someones controller config on steam and cant remove it, but either way that hasn't helped either. I have no idea why I cant play the game at the moment. It's extremely frustrating.

To clarify, the button inputs are all messed up, if I press X on my controller, it registers as something else. I've searched long and hard across the internet for a fix to this but it seems as if this is just broken.

Sorry to come across rude, I'm just frustrated I purchased this and have waited ages for a patch and there is no fix to be able to play with a controller.

Also yep, I've tried plugged in and wireless.

I had the same problem, I figured out a somewhat crude fix but it does the job.

Keep in mind that each input will be like pressing a button on a keyboard, I.E instant reaction.
If you are only having problems with buttons and not analogs then this will not matter.

Thanks for that. Is there a way though without downloading third party software? Unknown Worlds really should be on top of this and I’m really annoyed that they haven’t bothered to help

I have not found another way, however I - along with many other people - have scanned that program with Norton Antivirus (that's a top tier one) and it found no threats so it should be safe.
