Curse You, Lava Larva! (RESOLVED)
UGH. I think I might have screwed myself but I thought I would check and see if anyone has a solution.

Went down to the Inactive Lava Zone for the first time in my PRAWN suit. Drove there in the Cyclops, of course.

Collected a lot of materials that I needed, and along the way had a cute little passenger suction itself onto my suit. Didn't really think anything of it, though as more started to show up I decided I should return to my Cyclops and deal with it.

Went back inside the Cyclops with the leeches still attached to the PRAWN. Didn't really know what I was going up against at the time. But after some reading, I started knifing them and they fell away from the suit.

Unfortunately, once they fell away they became invisible. Still onboard the Cyclops, but completely unseen until they latched onto the PRAWN again. It became kind of an endless cycle, so I decided to load my last save and see if I could just get them outside on the EXOSUIT and deal with them there.

Except my last save turned out to be just after I boarded the Cyclops. When I load this save now, the 3-4 lava larva are scurrying around the sub for a few seconds before they latch onto the PRAWN, which is no longer properly docked in the hold. In fact, it sits back and away from the hatch. When I try to get inside and launch it, my character sits backwards in the seat and goes nowhere. When I exit, I fall through the Cyclops and end up walking on the bottom of the ocean.

It's a real mess and I wish I hadn't saved after getting back onboard. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this, I'd be grateful. I just gathered up all of the kyanite I need to upgrade my suit.

Please post some images of the exosuit in the bugged out state. Thanks.

And my new best friends are just chillin' inside. At this point I'm thinking I'll just have to abandon ship and spawn a new Cyclops and Prawn, because while I can get the power cells out of the Cyclops, I can't get them out of the Prawn, and those leeches won't leave until they have drained all the energy out of the exosuit.

I had this happen too. Went to to the Lava Zone to get Kyanite with my Cyclops and PRAWN suit. Got some Kyanaite, docked the PRAWN in the SS WTF. Didn't realize there was a Larv stuck to it. Went to get back in the PRAWN and I couldn't move and it wouldn't release. Pressed E to exit and it just dumped me into the bottom of the Cyclops hold. Got back in the suit, couldn't move. Wash, rinse, repeat. Just ended up not saving and reloaded. Lost all my stuff but went back and got it again.

Yeah, I honestly wish I hadn't saved after docking inside the Cyclops. I guess I'm just going to have to spawn a new sub and Prawn if I can't get those two working again. Is it possible to delete them? I don't want them just floating around in the lava zone.

SUCCESS!! I saved my Cyclops and PRAWN!

I gave it one last try just now and it worked.

First, I took all the power cells out of the Cyclops. I have three oxygen tanks so I had plenty of time to do what I needed to do.

Took out my knife and ran around the PRAWN, jumping and slashing at the Lava Larvas. When I couldn't reach them from underneath, I went to the chamber above the docking bay and slashed downward. That seemed to do the trick. I just kept hacking away until I couldn't hear their cute sounds anymore.

After I powered up the Cyclops again, I decided to see what would happen with the PRAWN since it was now leech free. I saved beforehand, but when I hopped in this time, the animation finally completed successfully and my PRAWN was haphazardly dropped outside of the Cyclops. I'm able to move around and use it just fine now. Hurrah!

I had an even worse problem.
Lava Larva phased through the Cyclops and attached itself to PRAWN. I didn't know that, entered the PRAWN and now I cannot move the camera on X axis (left-right).
Restarted, exited and entered the sub, it still doesn't work.
What the sweet fug? How come this bug made it to Stable?

Yes, that happened to me after I got my PRAWN free again. You just have to do the same thing I did: Take the batteries out of the Cyclops, go around knifing the Larva off the Prawn while it's docked inside, then hop into the PRAWN to dump it out of the sub and reset it. At this point, I've stopped taking the Cyclops into the Inactive Lava Zone. I park it right outside near the ghost ray's tree, and just walk around the ILZ with the Prawn. I've started building a base down there and so far it doesn't seem like leeches attach themselves to seabase modules or thermal reactors. I just make sure I take the batteries out of the PRAWN when I dock it in the moon pool. A lot of hassle, but better than the alternative.

I can't do that, because my camera doesn't turn.
I am trapped in launch bay. I can't turn around to open door to aft, and I can't use the ladder to get to bridge.

That's what happened to me. Luckily, I didn't save and just reloaded to the last point. If you have the console open, try warping out to a different location. Then come back and kill the Larva with the knife, should be able to hit them through the open hatch. DON'T get back in the PRAWN until they are all dead.

What Yugen said. Go to an earlier save before you get into the PRAWN, then do the rest. If you've saved your game while inside the PRAWN, try the "warpme" cheat code.
