Can't download from data terminals

Hi guys, I'm in the Aurora, made it all the way to the Administration office, I see the blue data terminal just like all the others. When I get close enough it says "Download data", just like all the others, but nothing happens when I click. It's acting as though I've already downloaded it, but I haven't... any ideas?

IS IT IMPORTANT? If it's just backstory, then no big deal.

UPDATE - I just found another data terminal in a wreck, and I can't use that data terminal either!

There's only one that is important in the Aurora, it's in the captain's quarters.

Enable the console.
Go outside of the Aurora into the water and type: entreset
This will reload all the game assets and you should be able to touch things again.
Just to confirm, you can touch other interfaces right? like the fabricator?

Yes, I can touch other interfaces like the fabricator. Is there any risk in doing entreset? If the only important one is in the captain's quarters, maybe I should let this one slide... and the other terminal was underwater in the wreck, but it still looked like it should've worked since the text to download data still popped up

Entreset only reloads all the game assets like textures, meshes, scripts, etc. It should fix your issue.

If not then you might verify the game cache or delete the cellscache folder in your save file (doing this will reset the world to default uninteracted state but your stuff will still exist and your progress will the as is).

i encountered the same problem. then i discovered more area and realized, i had been there already. got there through the other entrance :D

ALL console commands disable Achievements. Currently, until there is an Update, only until you leave game and re-enter.
