Story is not progressing: no more radio messages! :(
Hi there lovely Subnautica nerds!

So, as the title suggests, i'm having a big irritating issue at the moment with the game. And before you even start replying, allow me to explain the situation. It's more complicated than you might think...

Alright, at the moment i'm not getting ANY radio messages at all.
So i tried to keep playing without getting them, in the hope that in the future, i will get them...Eventually. Hours upon hours of playing have passed and i even got my Prawn Suit and Cyclops...And even now - no radio messages.

I tried something else out which was posted on the Subnautica Steam threads and Reddit: try and find every single PDA of the (destroyed) Lifepods. And i did exactly that. To be honest, i did find 1 PDA that for some strange reason i forgot and thus not picked it up. It was the Aurora Rendezvous PDA. After picking that one up however and listening to it, i STILL did not get any radio message...
So now, another 1 hour has passed and still no radio messages.

According to Reddit, Steam, YouTube and more there are AT LEAST 2 other places i can explore. Lifepod 2 and the Proposed Degasi Habitat. Both i did not get any radio message of it at all. So wtf am i doing wrong?!

To provide more information that may help you guys answering, these are the lifepods that i already searched AND got radio messages from:
Lifepod 12 (Medical Officer Danby's Crew Log)
Lifepod 13 (Emmisary's Voicelog)
Lifepod 17 (Crewlog)
Lifepod 19 (Second Officer Keen's Crewlog)
Lifepod 19 (Second Officer Keen's Voicelog)
Lifepod 3 (Crewlog)
Lifepod 4 (Crewlog)
Lifepod 6 (Crewlog #1)
Lifepod 6 (Crewlog #2)
Lifepod 7 (Crewlog)
Rendezvous Voicelog

So i'm at least missing Lifepod 2 an the Proposed Degasi Habitat. In case somebody would say the story is not progressing further or i already had all thew Lifepods and PDA's,

If you mean doing all of that myself, then yes.
If you mean scanning with the Scanner Room, yes?
All items verified...Sigh. There is simply no way out i guess. Ill just look up the coordinates of Lifepod 2 and that Degassi Habitat and the others, and work my way to the end game without any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story line. This is just lame...
Make sure your saved game does not say damaged save or something like that

No I mean, use the scanner tool to scan yourself
No damaged save file... :(

Yeah i scanned myself two times so far in the past. And i got two updates on it if i'm not mistaken. Maybe even three, but i think two.
When i scan myself now however i don't get any message. Does that mean something, maybe?
I don't really think it has anything to do with me actually advancing the game, especially when i almost managed to get 40 hours of gameplay with only 1 campaign.

Yes, it has everything to do with you doing a thing.... or rather not doing a thing. Investigate the area around the last 2-3 lifepods... the one in the blood kelp zone in particular.. you might find an interesting cave that you should explore.
how deep have you gone? because the rest of the story is set underground.
In order to get the signal for the proposed Degasi habitat, you need to pick up a PDA on the floating island. The PDA isn't in any of the bases, but rather somewhere on the trail. Also, to get the radio message for lifepod 2, I believe you need to either go to the gun, the lost river, or the blood kelp biome.
At some point in the game, you stop receiving messages, and only get a few messages from time to time. You honestly don't need the messages to progress the game.

Just explore around and you'll eventually find places you haven't been to *cough* lost river *cough*. Once the messages stop, Subnautica puts you to the test of finding what they haven't told you exists.

Subnautica is a survival/horror/exploration game, and it has to, at some point, let you do some exploring yourself.
I'd check out the Blood Kelp Zone (either one is fine) and do some digging there...
I understand that i need to keep play the game in order to get behind all the 'new stuff' that is waiting for me. I can do that with or without the radio messages and thus the story progression. It's just kinda 'boring' (which is actually not the correct word lol because i do have fun with the game, it's an amazng game) to do that all by yourself, without any story progression, if you like. This while a lot of other people DO get the story progression?! Which is very unfair if you ask me :(

Im done with the Floating Island, Space Gun, Island next to it and the Aurora. Im not gonna explore anymore on those places. I seriously spent hours upon hours there.
But i will however check the Blood Kelp Zone again, i only went there once, and that was quite short comparing to the other places i went to.
The Lost River i never even went to, to be honest. But i do know about it though. Didn't go there in the first place because i was waiting for the story to progress towards it so i would kinda know what it's all about and stuff. That is at least more interesting if you as me then just go by yourself.

@Tonari
With the Seamoth Mk. 1 Depth Upgrade i've only went to like 350m to 450m deep. I know i can get down to 500m and even deeper, and i only did that twice, if i'm not mistaken. Which place do you think i need to explore further, other than the Blood Kelp Zone or even the Lost River?

@Branchminer1
I found the PDA's (2 of them) on the bases which are located on the mountains. And i found another 2 in the base which is on the ground, in between those 2 bases on the mountains. So a total of four thus far. And lastly i found the Aurora Rendezvous PDA, which makes 5. And i found the Alien Teleport Arch as well, but there was no PDA. Is there even a 6th PDA lying around, supposibly?
The Lost River and Blook Kelp Zones are 2 zones that i didn't look thouroughly through though, so i'll take a look there as well. Especially the Blood Kelp Zone, because i probably missed something there according to most comments here?

I don't remember, but I don't think you get anything pointing to the Lost River, so it must be found by exploration. I do remember that once you enter the LR, you get a message on the radio. Once you stop getting messages, it's kind of Subnauticas' way of saying, "Hey, we've given you some cool stuff, why don't you try to find something else?", and picking up data terminals in the Alien Bases, such as the Array (Gun) will lead to the next one
I know it's months late, but there's a tab in your PDA under data called Clues or something like that. It gives you the location of many things, or at least where to look, including two cave biomes with bases in them you haven't mentioned and an alien facility

Shouldn't they make that PDA a lot more noticeable and put it inside one of the structures on the island? I actually got the proposed locations PDA while exploring the base in the Jellyshroom cave.
i am at this exact spot and it has happened to me too, no radio messages. i am seeing the radio symbol show up but i am not getting any messages.
I am very VERY certain you've found out the reason to why this is occuring but eh, doesn't hurt tu type this, to find the degasi thingy you gotta go down the cave at lifepod 17, there you will find multiple structures where you find P.D.A's with the degasi coordinates
