Can't use Habitat Builder (game breaking)

Everytime I try and use the habitat builder it won't work. I enter the menu that allows me to select an item to build, yet when i click on said item nothing happens and the menu disappears. Short of reinstalling I've tried everything I can think of. I validated the files, changed the battery, built a new one, tried using it in both survival and creative, relaunching the game. If anyone knows what to do please tell me. This is game breaking as I cant expand or start a new base...

Update: Just reinstalled and it fixed nothing, am I the only one experiencing this bug???

No, everyone customizing the keyboard has it. It's seriously broken since the january update.

I found a fix guys! I rebound my "right hand" key to mouse3, so i bring up the build menu with mouse3 and select with left click, and it works! I'd guess that it doesn't have to be mouse3

Yeah it sucks but I have to deal with it as i'm at the point where I cant progress without the habitat builder.

I also have this problem. it seems like the problem happens when you set your right hand to the left mouse button. when you try to select what you want to build in the habitat builder it exits the menu because you use right hand. I'm pretty sure last time i played the game (in late 2016) that wasn't a problem tho.

so i have a confession to make. i -thought- my habitat tool was broken cause it wouldnt load the menu. turns out i was clicking the REPAIR TOOL NOT THE HABITAT TOOL. ; D
