Glad it worked, The alien moonpool was really weird (and still is), and caused a lot of glitches back in the day. I'd still like to see a bug update or two in this game... still enough to make it mildly frustrating, even though it isn't crashing nearly as much since 2016.
Because the game isn't fixed and keeps bugging out. Why are you asking why people are necroing threads when they are still relevant?
I was walking in my base, and randomly fell through the floor, taking damage because I fell all the way down onto what was my current floor in the ocean. I can't swim up to my base, even though I am submerged in water, and I'm not losing any oxygen. I don't have any materials to build with to unbug myself. I was hoping I could build a compartment and a hatch, but I have nothing to build with.
I’ve encountered this bug plenty of times myself in just one game. Each time I could only fix it by spawning in supplies and making a compartment and hatch and then entering that, which then reminded the game of the laws of physics.
