Cyclops all lights are red
Hi there, im currently playing creative mode. All the interior lights of my cyclops are red, and I cannot turn the interior lights on/off or turn the spotlights on. Nothing is wrong with my sub, the health is full and so is the energy. Thanks.

Silent running is definitely on, when it's activated the ship gets red emergency lighting and the external lights are blacked out. Just turn it off with the buttons on the right side of the helm and it'll be fine.

Huh. Dumb question. Do you like using flank speed?

Flank speed sets you on fire. Being on fire, causes the crazy alarm status and spooky lights.

But you are in creative mode. So you are not allowed to be set on fire for stupid engine mechanics.

It is very possible the game got confused over this, and flipped on some of the "Haha, your submarine is on fire!" effects. Or you crashed into something and the game got sad it couldn't set your normally paper mache sub on fire.

Other possibility (Though offhand I don't recall if that causes RED lights) is if you accidentally left silent running turned on. But I don't think that causes such extreme interior effects, and you have zero reason to use silent running in creative mode anyway.

Regardless. It does sound like a bug, whatever is the cause.

Better to ask a stupid question, then to not ask a question and suffer for it

This thread will be closed due to its age. Most likely “silent running” was the cause.

Use it with parsimony.
