Cyclops Stuck on Nothing
I launched up my Subnautica file tonight to try to get some farming done a bit before bed.. And much to my confusion, the Cyclops got stuck on nothing. There was nothing on it or under it but it could only turn in circles and would not ascend or descend, only tilt slightly and would not move forward.

I tried to ram my Seamoth into it to move it and the Seamoth got stuck against the Cyclops. I reloaded the file to save my Moth.

Desperate to save my cyclops (Xenon) I decided to save the game and experiment with console commands to see if I could find the issue. I could not. I deleted all terrain in a 55 meter radius; nothing. I decided to spawn a 2nd cyclops and ram Xenon from the side and push it off whatever glitch it was on. It moved; it seemed to work, Huzzah! I set forth to repair the damage to Xenon then entered it and manned the controls.

Alas, Xenon had been relocated but it was still bugged and could not move. I shut down the game after this, giving up for now.

I realize I can just console a new Cyclops and move all of my stuff but I Really would prefer to not have to do such a thing, especially since the old one would still be floating by my base.

Do you have a Medical Kit Fabricator in your Cyclops? There is a known bug that causes the Medical Kit to get stuck inside the Cyclops, basically pinning it in place, if you try to pick one but your inventory is full, or if you open the MKF but don't pick the medikit. If that is the case, you can try to use the "entreset" console command. As an alternative, you can use the "freecam" console command to find it; return into your body by typing "freecam" again, then move to the point where you spotted the medikit; you should be able to pick it even through the Cyclops walls.

Thanks much. I couldn't find it manually but entreset did the trick. Cheers!

I had this same problem, removed the MKF and checked the walls, all clear. Tried to go again ad I was still stuck. I had a thought and pulled the posters down I had put up in the cyclops, and I could move again. Seems it's just about any placeable object can cause this issue.

I tried the same, but haven't removed the MKF, but used the two commends, aaaand then it got weird. I used the cockpit and tried freecam, then got back and then I was able to walk around while having my arms on the steering wheel. I restarted the game, wanted to put things out of my inventory before continue trying. I put one thing in storage, and I got added a fire extinguisher. I added more things to the storage and got even more fire extinguishers. After that, I died of starvation. Then I got many fire extinguisher but it's everything normal now, and the cyclobs works too

I had similar problem. I placed a chair that somehow got stuck inside the cyclops and was flying around while I tried to move. Picking up the chair and then placing it again fixed the problem.

It seems that if a buildable thinks that it is an entity, the cyclops will get stuck on it.

I tried all steps and deleted tons of items, yet my cyclops is still stuck.

Happened to me today. I dropped a ion cell in the engine compartment. Couldn't get thru the door and my inventory was full, so I made my way around using the stairs and it disappeared after. I was in the Lava Lake for the last part of the quest so didn't care and when on my journey. Came in later to gtfo and Cyclops was stuck like something was grabbing the tail. Checked everywhere. After a few save reloads and failed attempts (even trying the floater trick for the Sea Moth) just went to the engine bay to investigate. The ion cell was there, on the ground. I just collected it and the Cyclops got unstuck. In summary, reload your save and collect every object you might have dropped to the ground, because if you didn't got stuck by clipping into a wall then there is a good chance a collectable is rolling inside your ship and pinning it in place.

Never drop anything on the floor inside the Cyclops. It can do any of a range of weird things.

Make a "stash" Locker, for random stuff you want to get out of inventory temporarily. And other Lockers for permanent storage aboard.

(When I say "drop", I mean literally drop from you hands or from Inventory. Building stuff in normal open locations; beds, chairs, pots, lockers, etc; is generally OK.)

Just going to add my experience, a med kit in the storage of my docked seamoth on the cyclops was my culprit. Grabbed it and added it to my person and was free. Thank God for this thread.

None of the issues in this thread helped me particularly but I ended up dismantling and remaking my indoor plant bed and then it got unstuck. I don't think I dropped anything in the area but it just seemed like the most complex thing I had onboard so I tried it and it worked.
