Aerogel

Can't find the Jelly Plants to make Aerogel. I just started a new game after about a years lapse. I understand the Jelly Plants were removed from the rift near the Aurora. But, I can't find them in any of the other places where they usually are. Is this a glitch. Do I have to reload and lose all my previous games? Or am I just missing them? They are not at the base of the NE Giant Mushroom and deep caves.

Gel sacks are located in kelp forest and other deeper bioms. Go to the lifepod 19 beacon and you will find plenty around there.

you can find a few at the root of the tallest tree in mushroom forest then grow it for more in early game.
