"Large Room" issues
Having a ton of issues placing things like ladders, windows and just about anything that snaps on the outside aside from solar panels. What is the issue here? Is this a common issue with the large rooms or what? I can still place SOME windows on the large room but not many at all on most of the snap points for it. Should I have not placed my base on a bunch of platforms?

I don't have any problems with it. Are you trying to place multiple windows at once? You always have to finish building a blueprint of the same type before you can place another one.

The large room was added as an afterthought since they already had it Subnautica 2. To me they should have left well enough alone since it's just not worth the problems you have to deal with. I don't know how the large room was meant to work with platforms, but when combined them you get too many legs and it just looks ugly. Combine with that the limited snap points you mentioned and it just doesn't work very well. I gave it a serious try then decided to abandon it an build a new base with normal rooms at another location. I don't know, maybe line the walls with storage units and use it as a warehouse, but as part of a base I recommend not using it.

Did you build anything inside the room already? There are specific spots in the room where a window could go (10 of them, I think), but if there's something there already the game may consider it blocked. You can frequently put it back after you build the window.

I have not experienced Rdbury's frustrations with the Room. I found it an essential addition to the game, with enough space for all the storage I need plus an operations area. Maybe it's just that after living in New York City for 11 years I feel the need for space!

I could only place one window at a time but I got rid of the blueprint and had nothing else prepped to build and still couldn't place a ladder onto my second story. My second story was the same, another large room right on top of the first.

That was I was hoping AGAINST because this thing is so cool. Hopefully it can be made to work

I had a lot already built in the room but nothing even close inside or out of the area I wanted to place a window. Also I completely understand the yearn to stretch your legs when living like that hahaha. I just like spacious interiors!

The key to building windows, ladders, and wall dividers in the large room is to look at the black squares on the floor and ceiling. These signal the spots where ladders go and indicate the grid along which interior walls can be placed or windows built.

I would recommend building the internal units first before you start decorating the large room, as it can interfere with the building.

Agreed, except for adding windows. I try to window up a large room as soon as possible, so nothing will interfere with adding them later.
