My repair tool does not work.

I just fabricated it and tried fixing equipment in the escape pod. The tool acts like it is dead though it says 100% power. I've read of complaints of the repair tool not working, but only at the Aurora or away from the pod. Any ideas on ow to fix this? I did try reloading the last save.

It happened to me, I had to discard the tool and I make a new one and only then can I repair things, it's a waste of materials, but I prefer that to running out of a repair tool

Ooooh yes!! Just like the knife. That is not intuitive at all. The action button is always the LMB. Thanks for reminding this forgetful person. Nice having the radio back and the sparks gone.

LOL, Happened to me. I played for the first time in a few years yesterday and couldn't figure out why nothing worked.

I am having a similar issue. I have a tool, fully charged (repair tool and the scanner), but neither work . I cannot scan anything and the repair tool does not repair anything. I even started a new game and once the repair tool was built, i could not even repair my pod.

So the tools were working for you before, but stopped working at some point? Or have you never gotten them to work? Note that by default, "use equipped tool" is the right mouse button, not left.
