Those are there for the development convinence....not yours.
How about this.....I will build ya a robot (for only the cost of parts) that will flick your nose REALLY hard each time you try to enter subnautica cheat =)
And I can assure you (like 80%ish) that it wont become sentient and try to kill.....
haaaa, yeah that is what I keep telling myself. :)
Cheers!
I'll have to bring this subject up with the rest of the crew.
You are right, the first thing I will do is enter spawn cyclops instead of working for it.
Even though I can say no, often times I look at it as "What The Heck" when I need to go deeper to grab something instead of going through the motions of having to resurface grab more air then head back down.
Thing is I have been playing the game like so many others out there from the very beginning (Pre-Early Access), and while I was testing the game for bugs I neglected to take the long road to search for bugs because I could spawn something in whenever I wanted too, and now I am so dependant on it that it's pretty much hard to stop using it.
Anyway, just hoping there will be no cheat codes soon this way I can play from start to when I die (I play permadeath/hardcore).
Cheers, and thanks for wanting to bring it up.
I say take it out completely.
If someone wants to ruin the game by spawning the best stuff right away, that's their prerogative. If a game is single player, customers should have the right the choose.
Absolutely not, if you want to keep the cheats then go ahead. What I am saying is just because it's a choice of freedom, doesn't make it right especially when it will work against what the developers have intended for the game in the first place.
Many games now being produced have entirely stopped allowing for cheat codes to be used because it's works against the enjoyment of the game. Just because it's a right doesn't make it right.
Anyway, doesn't matter really. Once you start using one cheat code, it will lead to people using one more, then another, and before you know it that is all they do.
Many developers have seen the damage cheat codes can do to the overall experience of the game.
Tell ya what, the devs only allow for cheat codes to be used for the experimental version, and omit the console for the public build, this way it's a choice you are looking for.
Later.
Dude....can I be your drug dealer??? You sound like youd be an exellent customer =P
Why are you insulting me?
You have insulted me over creating a video on save games, and now this. Surely you must have something better to do.
Haaaaa, you are a piece of work you are.
Yea, I kinda am lol.
Honestly meant ya no insult though, was just playing around.
Im all for an opt in to cheats IF it in no way hinders the devs use of them.
No problem.
I understand. :)
my boxes dissapear everytime i save and leave the game, comebacl and they are gone. So for now thats just a really easy way to get your stored items back
