eh the current way is to just swim away from where you met it

Well this thing would'nt let go. I got back to my capsule and it was still on my arm. :(

oh weird :/ i suppose for now you could save your game, then quit and re-load.

Bleeders still have a few issues that we weren't quite able to sort out in time, such as sometimes they get stuck on your arm. Also, soon you will be able to get them off your arm by punching, knifing, and using other tools on them, rather then having to swim away. Experimental build will probably get updated with those changes in the coming days.

Two of them chased me inside the escape pod; one of them clinging to my left forearm. The whole pod shaked from their wiggling (nice physics!), and I started to beg for death because I couldn't get rid of them.

In the end I just saved and reloaded: Problem gone!

I would've assumed just going into the escape pod and getting out of the water would make them automatically detach. I mean, aquatic life, needs water to breathe, you'd think they'd eventually let go, unless they're insane like an angry little terrier with a deathgrip.

Of course, that's probably the more painful way to endure it. Removing them ASAP with a tool/knife should be the quickest method (once that's able to be implemented.)

Yeah, I spawned in fifteen of them to test them out... not a good idea.

I tried using a knife hoping it would default to a cut, and peel off my arm movement but nope.

Maybe the devs would add in the animation if you are wielding a knife, and if you have a bleeder attached (it appears they only attach themselves to the left arm), by pressing the mouse button repeatly would have you get rid of it.

I did try to get rid of it by entering the pod, but that thing just kept sucking me dry.

He did eventually drop off but I had to keep eating my cooked peepers to keep my strength up.

I managed to get it off using the propulsion cannon (just right clicked with no other organism on screen and it took it off my arm)

Yeah, this is an old thread - they're much easier to get off, now. :)

right click repeatedly ...or a gravesphere could do it...if you swim with a fin or ultra fin ..they wouldnt catch you easy

I found it really hard to get a bleeder to attach in the first place. I had to stand perfectly still for it to get to me.
