I've heard that too, but to me it sounded more like something was screaming and it had a different tune. The jellyray was more heavy, while the sound I heard was more airy.
Also I didn't hear this sound all the way at the Mushroom Forest biome, which is where the jellyray is native to. This was at the shallow area where you would normally spawn.
I thought the same thing as well, so I swam away from where I heard that noise to find another rabbitray. Strangely enough I did not hear that sound again when I found another rabbitray. The same happened when I spawned a rabbitray using the console.
in stead on airy, would you say it was more, gassy? i think its a farting thing but i cant remember what its called :P o nvm gasopod ;)
cuz I ended up in the middle of a school of them at night and by cthulu the noises I heard from them.
No, it's definitely not a gasopod. They have a much more forceful and deeper cry than what I was hearing.
Do you mean the airsacks/bladderfish? I spawned a good number of them and they produced no sound.
If I could give your comment a +1, I would love to.
